The trail network isn't very large with about 18km of trails, 13km being single track, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in the way of technical trails with unpredictable surface types, tight steep sections and a few fun jumps.

Short runs and easy to access features are perfect for getting your ride dialled or you can get your best lycra on and smash some XC, linking up the maze of trails to create challenging loops that will get your heart rate up.

Although the trails are now well signed, to get the best out of your time riding it's a good idea to meet up with a local on your first couple of rides as it's quite a maze in there.

Trailforks is a great resource and contains all the trails on the hill in a easy to use and informative app.

It's also important to know that some of the trails at Castle Hill are on private property and whilst the Castle Hill Trails Alliance (CHTA) and Ipswich City Council (ICC) can't prevent people from riding those trails that cross onto private property they ask that riders respect the owners should they come across them.
